About: Adam Geffen
I was born in Detroit, Michigan at Sinai Hospital (now SinaiGrace). I grew up in the Detroit suburbs: Birmingham and West Bloomfield. I lived in Ann Arbor for about twelve years. I currently reside in Ferndale, Michigan.
I am a science and computer geek (B.S. Computer Science, University of Michigan) and I am presently a software engineer for NTT‘s Global IP Network (GIN) group.
I am a recent graduate of the Wayne State University Law School and a current graduate student in the History Department where Professor Sandra VanBurkleo is my adviser.
I am interested in philosophy of law (jurisprudence), tort law, contract law, U.S. legal history, U.S. constitutional history, English legal history, political theory, the history of political thought, and the history of ideas. I like to think about justice, ethics, knowledge production, truth, equality, and liberty. (When I have the answer I’ll let you know.)
For a while I studied Tai Chi and Kung Fu at the Ann Arbor Asian Martial Arts Studio. I enjoy hiking, camping, and backpacking. I am an alumni of Agree Outpost Camp (July 1990) where I cemented my love for backcountry wilderness. I am a strong supporter of 2nd Amendment rights and own a 233 Remington 700 SPS Stainless rifle.
